There are many ideas as to how to make our life meaningful, but few ideas as how to make our death meaningful. Since life necessarily leads to death, we should try to face our fear of death and overcome it before death actually descends upon us. If we are free from fear we will be able to use our death in the most extraordinary way. We will be able to attain permanent happiness by using death as a doorway that we pass through, which leads to permanently transcending ordinary existence. Such good results are not possible if we die with fear or hold other negative minds at the time of death. With such knowledge and fearlessness our death will definitely be meaningful.

Stress and anxiety are often cited as the main mental affliction of the 21st century. In order to try and cope with stress many people seek relief in the form of alcohol and drugs. The result is that suffering and problems only increase. We can learn to successfully avoid stress and anxiety by changing our mental habits and attitudes. This is because stress is a feeling and feelings are types of mind. Therefore, the solution to stress is developing positive and wholesome minds that function to prevent stress from arising.
