Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre

Many people regard their family upbringing as having been dysfunctional. As a result, we find our self experiencing resentment, depression, or other unhappy states of mind. Unfortunately, it is common that we are unable to let go of the past and instead allow our previous unhappiness control our present life. Since our human life is brief, we can not afford to waste opportunities whereby we can learn to abandon the past and attain the happiness that we wish for. Moreover, our unhappiness will almost certainly condemn us to an inability to establish or maintain healthy and harmonious relationships throughout the remainder of our life. This course will provide the insight and practices that can both heal the past and create a happy and harmonious future.

If we think carefully we will understand that the quality of our mind determines our perception of our world. If our mind is negative, we tend to experience the world as faulty and problematic. When our mind is happy and positive we experience the world in the same way. Not recognizing this relationship, we spend much time and effort to try and control our external conditions, instead of trying to control our own mind. This misdirected effort often leads to frustration, disappointment, and despair. Discover the wisdom of how to purify your mind and your world!
